Ana Kournikova was born on June 7, 1987 in Moscow Russia. She started plying tennis at the age of five with her racket, which she has got as birthday gift from her parents. Ana Kournikova was the first Russian female tennis player to be seeded in U.S. Open since 1976. She reached in Top 10 in singles ranking in 1998 when she has upset Martina Hingis in German Open.
